Travel buddy needed to plan RTW July/Aug 2010 including Japan and the North |

Hi 
I'm 22 and have found that after a year settled in a sensible PR career that i don't really want to be settled anywhere quite yet! i'm in the very early stages of planning a RTW trip and would like a travel companion that I could plan a route with, taking in their ambitions as well as mine. i have two main aims: - to see Geisha and try on a kimono in Japan - to see the Northern Lights so I would ideally be visiting both Japan and Norway or somewhere similar up North. Somewhere hot and tropical could also be on the agenda
ideally i would like to meet up with possible companions a few times before making the big decision and booking up. i don't have a budget and don't really want to work, I'd rather save up by working at home. I've already been to South Africa for 3 months last year but wouldn't mind going back as long as i got to experience a few different things! if anyone is in a similar position to me and fancies just dropping it all and going away just drop me a line! I am planning on travelling next year, haven't got exact dates as yet but was also thinking about June time. I am interested in going to Japan but don't really fancy doing that bit on my own, and also planning on spending a good few months in Australia working my way around. There are lots of other places I'd like to visit too, South Africa and Thailand being on the list. When are you planning on going? Rach |

| i fly out of japan to come home on the 27th of june, so i think (although i cant remember exactly without checking) that i must be arriving in japan around the 16/17th of June. I'll be in China for three weeks before then, just working my way up from Halong Bay to Beijing... bit nervous about doing those bits alone but soo excited. only three and a half months till i leave for india!! how long are you planning on being away for? | |

I was thinking maybe July cos I'm off to Glasto at the end of June so have to be around for that! I don't have any solid plans, was thinking Australia, NZ, Thailand and Japan. I would also love to see New York and Lapland but I'm not sure they could be worked into the same route! Let me know if any of this sounds good! x |
