hey , if your doing the kiwi experience you will meet loads of friends. All the bus tour things in New Zealand have lots of people travelling alone.I went round New Zealand with Stray bus , simular to the kiwi experience and the people I met, combined with the country itself made it probabaly the best 3 weeks of my whole 11 month trip!

hi , I went round the whole of the South Island then in the north I went to Taupo , Auckland , Rotorua and Waitomo Caves. In the north a lot of people also head to Wellington and up past Auckland in the north. The whole country is awesome. Brilliant scenery and so much to do and see! I was travelling with a mate but travelling/working in Australia on my own now. On our Stray bus there were 4 or 5 people travelling alone though. You just get talking to people on the bus and in the evening i think the Kiwi experience organises activites to get everyone involved.

Hi, I will be traveling around New Zealand for 3 months from the begining of March through the end of May/start of June. I have not been to NZ since I was 8 years old and so I am going back to see family/friends and travel around. I hope to meet some friends because I think it will be a lot more fun with other people than by myself.

Hello There!

I have the same 'problem' as you do...Firt time I am going to travel all by my self for a longer period at the other end of the world . I do not have my ticket yet, but I am almost sure that I will go to New Zealand somewere round the 10th of April till somewhere in May (flying to Auckland).

I have a friend who is at this moment in NZ. Not the most outgoing, talkactive person, but she is amazed with the easyness you meet (nice) people...still though..I am also scared

I'm going to do the Kiwi experience - the funky chicken (no doubt named by an embarrassing dad/uncle somewhere while doing some FUNKY DISCO DANCE!) It does sound great though, looking to meet people and glad im not the only person in the world doing it alone - i dont actually recall reading anyone who is NOT going alone. Promising..

Beginning in early/mid April from Auckland, and very flexible time plan for stop offs along the way, after which i am going to Oz and probably doing the Oz into (i swear im not an employee!) - but they look well worth the value (im doing bruce pass for Oz)

Anyway, any1 in auckland in April or on the funky chicken gimme a shout

Tom
