I'm planning a route that time for a couple of weeks to take in Bratislava > Budapest > Belgrade > Sarajevo > Dubrovnik, but due to work I can only do 2-3 weeks of travel. However if you're into Eastern Europe it could be an option for part of your trip (I went to dubrovnik this summer and highly recommend it, I feel TOTALLY in love with that place).

Hi,

I'm planning a similar trip across Europe around that time, not confirmed destinations yet, figured i'd just go with the moment and jump on/off the train as and when.

The most recent place i've visited in Europe that i'd recommend is Munich but i love just about everywhere.

If you're travelling in eastern europe, its probably more cost effective NOT to get a rail pass, as individual tickets will be cheaper.

do europe by coach (eurolines) as well in a lot of cases its cheaper than the choo choo.

or you can mix it up with the 2.

prague a lovley place good strong cheap beer nice pretty shit to look at. there museum is shitty though.
but the sex machine museum is worth a look. but the pavements hurt your feet all cobble type stones awful. good clubs cheapish food.

Haha I went to the sex machine museum in August, it opened my eyes to a whole new (and seemingly painful!) world! Entertaining though.

As for Prague... maybe it was because I'd been somewhat 'off the beaten track' in the couple of weeks before I went, but I really wasn't too keen. Yes its beautiful, but three people I knew got robbed in the couple of days I was there (one lost 1000 euros), and for each beautiful monument or building in the city centre there was a drunken brit advertising pub crawls.

Great for a couple of days if you've never been I'd say, but I much prefer places like Cesky Krumlov (highly recommend going there). But its all down to personal preference.

yeah i have no confirmed destinations as of yet, i think i proberly wont ever have a firm plan, ill always just end up going with the flow and see where that ends me up! should make it more fun.

oh cool, ill look into the coaches, only thing is im guessing it will take twice as long getting from place to place in which case i dont really mind paying the extra for the choo choo.. and the sex machine museum you say? that will definately be the top of my list!

oh your mates got robbed there? that sucks, im quite short and carefree so if anyone gets robbed out there it will be me :/ haha

yeah pink i have no idea either really, for sure.. just search for Lisa Mears on facebook (im not the old lady on there.. the other one) haha

thanks for all your comments (: its appreciated.xo

Eurolines are sometimes faster than the train.

You can get some good deals on there website as well.
