silk liners also weigh A LOT less than cotton ones, and pack down smaller...

hi so my silk liner came, from the guy that was suggested in the first apge also came recomended from a few others, has anyone else got theirs yet? I find them SO thin and feel they would be easily damaged/ripped...trying to get into that drunk! So im going to get a cotton one too and see what feels best.

I asked about this on another thread, I am thinking about getting a cotton one found one for £7 someone told me about a silk ones for a £10 on ebay but seeing as I have 84p in my paypal account and it takes 5 days to transfer money from bank - paypal then I have to wait for it and cheque takes ages to clear...Im gonna have to get one from a shop as I leave a week on saturday - these people dont seem to accept debit cards!

I would prefer cotton although i can see the downside of waiting for it to dry

i dont doubt its not nice seeing as the shops want £30 for a silk one - its just the time element. I don't trust it wont be shipped in time, I could try though and transfer the money today and see how long it takes. Found the cotton one in Tresspass for £7 so maybe get that one and look for a silk one when I head out to Asia?!

the ripping element doesn't sound too good but I know someone said on here it was quite strong material

Just a word on sleeping bag liners.

I bought a silk one from a high street store and I've managed to Rip it.
I dont think its a fault with the liner more the fact I bought a single one and I'm a pretty big guy. (6'1" and 17st)
Anyone who's larger than average should consider a double liner as it gives room to move around.
I've just ordered 2 from ebay for the price of the one I've just ripped.

Any suggests on weather its worth getting one with bug repellant in or not? Was thinking about it but if the bugs are going to get in anyway will probably not bother. Will be sleeping under a mosquito net to so this may help?

I have a bit of a phobia of bugs:S lol.

Mental would be one way to describe it. Painful and dangerous would be another! Was diffcult to walk on my leg for a few days!

But anyway. Get a Silk Sleeping Bag liner people. You won't regret it.

And if you don't buy one and get bed bugs. Just think of me doing a 'told you so' dance.
