malaria meds - buying in UK or around the world

for some reason i can't seem to search previous messages on this site, so apologies if this is already on here somewhere, i'm just wondering about where to buy my malaria meds (doxy), i'm off in 3 weeks.

reckon i need about 30 weeks worth and I'm going to various countries in Asia, Australasia and S.America.

It's probably going to cost me about £50-60 to get prescription and meds in the UK, but my Uncle reckons you can get them for about a penny a pop in India......just wondering how reliable / safe / costly purchasing doxy around the world is.

thanks!

from what i've read on other sites about prices in India they are 5 rupees each (about 6p) but I got my from the UK for 14p each. I didn't think it was worth the risk or hastle for the few extra quid over 6 months.

Hi just to let you know my travel partners GP has recommended stratfordpharmacy.com (may be a - in there) they have doxy for about 11p a tab and malarone about 2.25, also your local asda will sell them for 2.50 a tablet rather than £3+ the doc charges - strange !

Dont know if that helps but know how much hastle its taken me to get it all sorted

Fun Travels x
