Can I get Injections whilst in Australia? |

| Hello
I'm going travelling at the start of November going to LA, OZ, NZ and after hopefully working in oz for a year Asia. If things go to plan it is likely that i won't be getting to Asia until the start of 2011. I have been my usual unorganised self and left it a little late. The nurse I spoke to was really unhelpful and told me she was just reading off a website, anyway she said that i'm going to need to get boosters whilst in oz for hep a and hep b. She also said that Japanese Encephalitis vaccine only lasts a year. So shall i just wait till i get to oz to get all the necessary injections for asia? Am I even eligible to recieve these vaccines in oz? (I know i will be charged for some of the injections) Or shall i get the injections now and then just get boosters when i'm in oz? Thanks

| im sure you can get them in oz no problem. i got the jap enc ones in thailand without problem and much cheaper than at home | |

| To be fair travel health advice changes a lot depending on outbreaks, etc. so all good travel clinics should check the official websites in a consultation. You wouldn't want to be given standard vaccinations for somewhere only to find yourself in the middle of a cholera situation when you get there!

Yeh got my yellow fever in aus... walked straight in paid some cash and got a sore arm
