Latest prices (if flying in October 2009)

London to KL = £88

KL to Perth = £50

WTF???

Oh and that includes all airport tax and fuel surcharges. All you pay on top is luggage allowance and meals (optional).

I bought a couple of flights the other day. £82 KL to Perth & £17 Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh.

I once got a train from Newcastle to Aberdeen for £90.

I love Air Asia (this may change)

Are there any cheap places to stay next to the low cost terminal in Kuala Lumpur? Will probably have to stay overnight to get a connecting flight to australia and know for a fact that I won't be fancying heading into KL after landing, though will probably do so on my way back home. Anybody that has flown with them got any ideas? Or if it is ok to sleep in the terminal?

Yo.

Yeah, Air Asia have a chain of budget hotels called Tune Hotels. They have one between the low cost terminal and the main airport. It's like their flights, in that you can add on things like air-con and stuff, or you can strip down and have the bare basics. A basic room with a double bed is about £12 a night if you book up-front.

Google it, and all shall be clear.

The one at KL airport is actually a decent little hotel.

This is great news for me as I live near Stanstead!

Trouble is you can't buy a return ticket as they don't release dates very far in advance. Does anyone know how to get round having an exit document for when you enter australia? I've checked the visa section but can't find any info on this?

Cheers x

I could be wrong but I think for Australia you don't need a exit flight just proof that you have money for a flight (Bank statement etc)

Yeah, that's right, as long as you have enough money to sort of support yourself, and enough money to buy a ticket back home, then it's all good. You only need your passport and visa to get in to Oz!

Sweet!
