Air Asia Flights - Worth it???

PostPosted: Wed Oct 21, 2009 12:34 pm Reply to Message Reply with quote

Hi All,

I am currently in process of finalising some my route... I have been looking at flights around SE Asia and have found AirAsia to be very reasonable... first of is it worth it? Secondly, what hidden RyanAir-esque charges do they have?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Bernie.

hiya
air asia are defo worth it for the money, i have heard their longhaul flights tend to run a little behind by a few hours, so any connecting flights you may need make sure to make them advanced and not close to one another.

Things you need to pay for are baggage allowance (15KG is around £11/£13 i think) meals if you want any (£7)...thats it!!

I spent ages trying to find decent cheap flights from SE Asia to London for my flight home. Was goign through SkyScanner, BA, Qantas, AirNZ etc and everything was well over $1000 NZD.

Went to AirAsia and found a flight from Kuala Lumpur to London Stansted for $400 NZD (about 180 pounds)

Cheapest bargain ever !!!

AirAsia = greatness !!

Thanks for the info all... i think i shall go the air asia route.

I was quoted £720 for London - Delhi... Kolkata - Bangkok... Bali - Sydney.

So far with a combo of Air India and Air Asia... i can do London - Delhi... Kolkata - Kuala Lumpur... Hanoi-Kuala Lumpur... Kuala Lumpur - Jakarta... Jakarta - Bali for a whopping £390!!! Just need to find a cheap flight to Sydney now! God bless the low cost airline!

hey

airasia are really good when it comes to price!!
try jetsttar and tiger airways to get to sydney. You may find out you wont get cheap flights into sydney so try other destinations like cairns or pert/melbourne and travel by bus or get another flight with jetstar or tiger airways nboth low cost airlines.

Grrrr!

Air Asia have put the dates up to select flights from Aug 2010 - Nov 2010 but there are apparently no flights available on any of those dates.

They just did it to tease me folks . . . .to tease me
