Have you heard about the Roof of The World Rally?
An 8000 mile rally purely for charity...with a twist..A mission to take tea to the world...
Truly the best alternative to the Mongol rally, its less import rules, more fun!

Departing in Summer 2010 from London, England heading in the general direction of Kurgan-Tyube, Tajikistan, in deepest, darkest Central Asia. In between lie the hottest deserts, the highest mountains, the second highest highway in the world and everything in-between. So what are you waiting for? Jump in your vehicle, buckle up, hit the road..

Tea drinking is a great custom the world over, from English afternoon tea to the Tajik tea house and everything in between. The idea then is to sit down and have a cup of tea with the people you meet on your travels. What better introduction to a Kyrgyz nomad, a Turkish barber, an English diplomat, a Kazakh orphan… the possibilities are endless. The interactions you have with the people you meet on an adventure such as this are what will make your trip most rewarding. So go forth and deliver tea to the world!

This grand adventure is of course being undertaken for an awesome cause. SWORDE-Teppa. Based at our finishing point in Tajikistan. The English and Education Centre performs amazing work and runs brilliant projects, including teaching kids a variety of subjects and giving them a real headstart in life. The centre benefits greatly from any funds raised for them and any vehicles donated. Every year we are more blown away by the great work being done in very hard conditions, and no matter how small the donation or how knackered the car every little goes a long way.

If this sounds like fun to you please check out our website and maybe sign up for the adventure of a life time... http://roofoftheworld.charityrallies.org/
