 Volunteer in Maasailand (Kenya)!

Hey I'm a college student currently volunteering in a rural Maasai town known as Kimuka (near Ngong) in Kenya - the Maasai community are seeking volunteers to help with projects in their community, and have formed an organization known as MEAC (Maasai Education and Advocacy for Change). They have started a program for volunteers, who will work on a program while living with a local family as a homestay. It has been a great experience for me, and not only do you get to help the community, but you are able to learn a lot about their culture (I'm currently learning how to do Maasai beading and how to cook chapati!). If you would like more information, you can check out their website at meackenya.org. I wanted to suggest this organization for anybody who is travelling in Kenya and would like to volunteer somewhere, or for anybody who is interested in the Kenyan or Maasai culture and would like to experience it firsthand. There are a number of volunteer opportunities that MEAC offers, including a teaching placement, a medical placement, environmental awareness program, and community development. I am here currently, so if you have any questions, feel free to message me. Thanks a lot and I hope you decide to work with this wonderful organization!
