Hi,

I'm interested in doing the Mountbatten Intership in New York but can't seem to find any recent reviews on the internet. Does anyone have any advice regarding accomodation, placements and living in New York in general. I've downloaded the info pack but think first hand experiences would be good so let me know!
Also if there's anyone planning to apply for the intership in New York let me know and maybe we can help each other through the process,

thanks

Helen

Hi, my best friend did the Mountbatten internship in new york and she loved it. I went to visit her twice, she had an apartment in New Jersey but her job was in Manhatten. The apartment was basic but pretty decent and she shared with 4 other people from the internship programme. She said it was the best year of her life so I would reccomend it.

Hiya all,

So I too am thinking about doing the mountbatten internship in new york and have been thinking about it for probably a year now. I know four people who have done it (one who is currently still in NY now) and all four of them say that without a doubt it was the best year of their lives.

I have been researching on the net and there appears to be mixed comments about it.. I see the London intakes are a lot more negative than the ones in new york, probably because the NY one has been around for ages longer.

Anyway, as i said, the people i know loved it and would 110% recommend doing it.... so even if you do see negative comments remember that everyone's different and you could still yourself love it (even if they did not).

Anyway,

Helen, you commented that you would like people to go through the process with you ... well i'm offerring myself.. he he. I assume you are thinking of going on the March 2010 intake?

Smiles,

Jordan

P.s. My email address is: jmk667@hotmail.co.uk if you want to contact me directly
