 Trekforce or Raleigh?

Hi folks,

I've been doing some searching on here and all over the net, and reading up both...I can't decide which one organisation to go with!

Trekforce or Raleigh International?

Any tips, info and reviews are welcome!

Hi, I'm going on the 5 month expedition to Belize with Trekforce in November and so far have not heard a single bad report about them - everyone seems to have had the time of their life and they've been really helpful when I've spoken to them. As for raleigh, I can't say I've heard many reports about them good or bad so I couldn't really comment. They both do amazing expeditions though so I suppose it really depends which goes to the places you most want to visit. Good luck either way!

I havent been away with either so cant comment on either company but I would recommend that you take a look at www.ethicalvolunteering.org to help you decide. It sets out loads of questions you should ask people you are thinking of travelling with to make sure your project is worthwhile etc.

I went with Quest Overseas a couple of years ago now and they were fantastic - http://www.questoverseas.com

Cheers folks I'll look at those links when I'm in from work! I've heard so much about Raleigh as it seems they are the oldest and most revered volunteering organisation, but I'd just love to hear if anyone's actually been with them because they seem more expensive than the rest...

Trekforce I've heard a few things about, but is the Trekforce bit of the group more adventure while the Greenforce section is for volunteering?

Well I've just applied for Raleigh in 2010! Put my deposit down!

I choose Raleigh as their project is a bit shorter, so I can do some other travelling before or after!
