I'm really disorganised because my gap year was kind of last minute and not my decision, so I'm just trying to sort something out. I love the idea of volunteering on an archaeology site, especially in South America, but all I can really find are field schools which seem to be expensive - any ideas? I wouldn't mind working in America, but visas look really difficult to get on your own, and the big companies seem expensive! Oh, and it's crossed my mind to busk my way, maybe starting in Paris - but I don't know if I'd get enough money, and about the laws! So basically I'm really disorganised and any help would be appreciated - or if anyone likes those plans, then company would be great as I'd probably be going it alone!
