Hi Guys,
I know this may not be relevant to most of you but just in case. I am heading off to volunteer with VSO for a year in Mongolia and as I have a lot of heavy winter clothing and office shoes to take out with me I was really worried about the baggage allowances. I contacted a number of different airlines and all of them were willing to alot me an extra 10 kg of luggage on top of the 20kg already allowed because the purpose of my trip was charitible.
So if anyone else is heading off to volunteer and needs extra luggage try giving your airline a call and see what they can do.
