from your picture you look quite small and i doubt you would be able to handle more than maybe 65 to 70 litres i have a 65 + 10 litre back pack and when it is full it is sooo heavy on my back lucky it is a good fit sooo not sore or anything

but i wouldn't advise a 90 litre it will be too big to lug around imagen trying to run for a bus with that on or walkinaround looking for a hostel for a hour your back would be killing you after a couple days not making for a very nice time

travel lite (or as lite as you can )

where is it your going traveling cause if theres alot of treking or walking involved remeber wheels will add to the weight of your back pack

and in turn will mean less you can pack cause you do have a 20 kg limit

just prioritise and remeber you can dump stuff and pick stuff upalong the way soo if you start out in hot contry just take the clothes you need there
and then you can pick up warmer clothes as you go meaning you will have a very light bag to start off with making it easyer on your back

I have a 65+15 and its bloody heavy when its loaded up!

Not much fun at all when you are looking for accommodation in the heat!

My friend has wheels but they are just an inconvenience! Not as easy to pull along as what you might think - she's ended up just carrying it on her back and the wheels have added extra weight to her luggage also.

I wouldnt advise anything more than 65+15 as you do look pretty small!

I took so much stuff with me but dumped alot of it in Singapore and will prob dump more when I leave Sydney (or send it back to the UK) - things you think you need aren't really essiantials and don't forget - there are shops out here too!

Hey,
I got the Berghaus Jalan 65+15 with wheels. It weighed 23kg when I came out but that was bloody heavy and that was without anything in the 15 bit! I wish I'd brought less but don't really know how! I'm 5'1" so 65 is quite big on me but even so I wouldn't go much bigger. The wheels have been quite useful for around airports / stations / short distances but if you have to walk any further afield it's easier with it on your back. I looked at the 70+15 in a shop and decided it was going to be too big. Remember it's not that expensive to ship stuff home if you need to!

I have a 65+15, and it weighs a lot when full. I try to use my 45L whenever possible.
Honestly, when you're carting it round looking for a hostel, or trying to find your bus or whatever, you'll be wishing you left everything at home.

I know of people on here who've managed with 35L . . . that's my ultimate goal!

Go with a mid sized pack. Resist the temptation to get the largest one possible. Most of the stuff you won't use or can't find in a large pack anyway. Plus you can carry it on the plane. I don't recommend a suitcase with those pull out handles and cheap wheels on the bottom. What happens when you go some place where you can't roll it? Like some nice mountain trail. Have fun!

I had an 80l simply because I borrowed it from my stepmum, and I have carried it only once when full, when someone I was travelling with ran out of space in their backpack for all their stuff...! Lets just say it was carryable, but very, very heavy. A great workout, but trust me, when your bus is late getting to the terminal and the connecting boat leaves 5 minutes ago, and you're pelting down to the quay...well, it's much more comfortable to have a lighter pack!!

I have an 80 L. Just don't fill it too full! Just because you have the space doesn't mean you have to cram it completely full.
