Hi, me and my GF are going travelling through Thailand, Malaysia, Aus, NZ and USA for three months in April next year. We have already decided we are going to take roller style luggage not backpacks, but we don't know what size!. She wants a massive 110l one, I was thinking more like a 65l one but maybe it might be a bit small as we will need warm clothes for NZ. The middle ground is the 80l one but I'm still thinking that's a bit big. what sort of size do you think we will need? Thanks!

I think mine's a 65. It's a backpack rather than a roller, but even mine was a bit hefty at times. Perhaps an 80 will be a good middle ground for your warm NZ clothes, but the lighter the better! I'm certainly considering getting a smaller one for my next trip...

i had a 65l, and i needed camping stuff, and clothes for hot and cold climates.
seriously dont advise any bigger, you lend up resenting it everytime you move about.
it was hard work fitting it in, esp as i bought more stuff as i went on. but glad i never went any bigger

Are you guys sharing the bag?. I had a 60 L for South America and found it way too big and clumsy. So,I just bought a new 50 L bag for Asia , which is a great size. Big enough for everything you want to bring but small enough for a carry on bag.

i recommend that you bring a 60L Rucksack cos if your gonna have to be dragging a roller around with you all the time its gonna grow to be a pain in your arse. Much easier to have a rucksack and that way you have your arms and hands free, checkin at the airports is much less hassle, and just pack a mixture of clothes that you will need.Don forget you can buy things over in the countries too instead of buying them before you go which will be at a resonable price.half the fun in travelling the world is freedom, and you aint got that when its more then likely to be you pulling her luggage Just try and explain to her that she wont need half the stuff she will be wanting to bring.Good luck
