Hi
I am collating information to support my degree course and would greatly appreciate any thoughts on the following:
If Lonely Planet had a service on their website to enable you to log in and:
Access particular guide books you have purchased (soft copy)
Allow you to print any part of the book
Provide you with up to date warnings and safety travel tips in your area (current members would use the website to provide any warning or safety updates)
Would you use it?
Pros - Weightless guide books (no lugging them), up to date information, can print it, can buy books as you travel (in case you have changed your route), Maybe get Text messages of important warning alerts.
Cons - do not actually have the book to hold, its all soft copy.
The service would have a fee, depending which books you buy (same as if you would purchase the guide books at the moment).
Would you prefer to pay as small monthly fee, or as a one off?
Please let me know if there is anything else that could be added to this
Thank you very much for your time
