Is this enough for 1 and a half months in NZ, a month and a half in Oz and 3 months in S.E Asia?
Please say yes and mean it!

Yes and I mean it.

I'd love to take £4k away with me. I fly to malaysia on the 22 nov for three weeks then to Oz on a WHV but it looks like I'm going to have to find work early on in my trip. I'll be lucky to get £3.5k now as I've got to sell my car and save some more.

I certainly dont think you've got anything to worry about.

Seconding Ars3n1ck its more than enough for the length of time you are going for and spending in each country/region - unless you plan to live a 5star life out there

I would agree is can be done, but you'll need to watch your cash in Ozzy. I thought Ozzy was pretty much on par with here for prices and spent a lot more than I planned.

Nz is cheap enough as SE asia is no problems...asking if its doable is one thing, have you got any ideas of where you want to go and what you want to do while your away?

Big time. Certain thing are cheaper, like accommodation and eating out but you make up for it in other ways, such as drinking and food shopping. I spent £2,000 in just over a month in Sydney, I still don't know how!

NZ is one to watch, too. Once you start throwing yourself out of planes, and off bridges, and climbing glaciers, and sledging down rapids, etc. etc. your money soon goes.

haha I second that !! NZ has been exhilirating but it also saps your money. I ran out of UK money only 1 month in to my NZ leg. After buying the Magic Bus ticket, bungee, rafting, glacier walks + then buying all the extras that come with those activities. Seriously mounts up.

As you're doing Asia for the longest though it should pan out much better.

I do plan to do all the extreme sports etc. but I've already bought both bus passes across NZ and Oz which should help money wise
I'll just have to watch what i spend i guess
