HELLO!

I'll be heading out to NZ on a WHV at the end of January and was wondering if i do plenty of work whilst there will i be able to stay there for 12 months before heading to SE Asia for 3 months and India for 3 months?

I'll be starting out with £6500 but money for flights and visas around SE Asia and India will be included in this.

I figured if i worked in NZ and stayed in hostels or works for accommodation it'd be fairly doable but any advice is VERY MUCH APPRECIATED! Thanks!

On that money alone you could survive in NZ for atleast 6 months without working. It depends entirely on how much you want to work. A lot of hostels may want you to clean for a few hours a day in exchange for free accommodation or you could just get a bar job or something.

I think you will be absolutely fine. You could live in NZ without working for a good couple of months then get a job making sure you spend only what you earn and still have loads to go to SE Asia and India with.

Sounds like a good amount if your prepared to work. Just take what can you can get. But like poochiepoo said you can survive for a long time on that money.
