Job climate in new zealand |

| Hey
Ill be setting off on a mountain of a trip across europe, russia, asia, australasia to New zealand in March. I'm just wondering about the job situation in NZ is like at the moment whether anyone knew which way its going to go in the future. Im just talking about menial jobs, for instance bar, restaurant work and hostel work etc...Any ideas as to how difficult it is to secure something short to long term? Im on a WHV so ill be their for one year or maybe two so i can travel to any place that where the job prospects look better. Any ideasd guys would be awesome! Cheers! |

| hey man,
if your happy to accept almost anything hospo-related and you got experience then you'll be sorted, all the media etc make it sound bad but its really not that bad. and everythings on the way back up so things will be better by then i would say. good websites to check out are www.seek.co.nz or www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-me-jobs/index they will give you an idea of what kind of stuff is around at the moment. |
