Aye.

It's the real deal.

And, on balance, they're probably the biggest international airline in the world.

Yep, return flights to LA (for when I want to go, at least) for £300. Madness.

It's legit, but pretty crap. You can get the same flight through expedia, lastminute etc though may be very slightly more expensive

Chelsea IMO is the best plce to stay for hostels in New York. Manhattan Inn and Chelsea Hostel are both pretty much next to Penn station with Tube connection to most of NY

Hotel wise I am unsure my various trips to NY have been either hostels or the Grand Hyatt and Marriott. A big gulf in cost

I love NYC, I can't recommend it enough. Just walking around Manhattan you get the feeling that "this is where life happens"... awesome.

well I just found out i might not get to go...SOB! cause the way my new course runs i might clash. so stupid.

so when you went to NYC Wristy where did you stay?

ive been looking at millions of hotels and hostels...they are all quite expensive...but decided this is going to be a nice holiday where i dont share a loo with someone so hostels are out!

I've been to NYC twice - once I was in a little hostel in the Upper West Side (W95th), the second time I was staying in the Holiday Inn in a place called Secaucus, NJ - 10 minutes to Penn on the bus but I was there waiting to start my Trek America.

Only reason I stayed there was it was one block from the express subway, 2 stops to Times Sq
