It is the end of the summer season, but it will still be popular i should think. You'd probs be alright but why not hedge your bets and get something online?

Stay in Fresh Sheets. Its right in the old town, one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. They organise nights out most days, the people who run it are very friendly (Canadian I think), and everyone who stayed there were a really good crowd. It was full when I was there as people couldn't book in, but I was there in August so you might be OK.

Dubrovnik is probably my favourite city in Europe, I think the hostel helped a lot! Link is here: http://www.hostelbookers.com/hostels/croatia/dubrovnik/37362/

So jealous... Can I come with you??

awesome place

if you can't get into that other hostel try hostel rooms ana, its just a few rooms so not great if you are on your own and want to meet people but just 10 metres from the main street in the old town

Are you planning to stay there for all 6 days?

Ace! Pity I'm all out of leave I'll be there in spirit!

One thing I'd recommend is getting up very early one day and walking round as the city wakes up; its also a good time to get nice pictures before its overrun with tourists. Then the walls open at 8am and you can pretty much get them to yourself at that time.

Hey, its the 9th so u more than likely wont see this but anyway... do as Kristian said & do the walls early morn. we went up bout 9ish & it was lovely as not too busy but when we were coming down there was groups goin up. def go to lokrum. only 15 mins by ferry &its absolutly gorgeous. swim in the dead sea, walk round the edge of the island on the rocks. loads of quiet spots for bathing/swimming. nude beach f u fancy it.
we went for a nosey in the new city too & spent our last day in cavtat. got boat there from dubrovnik yesterday morn & in the eve got taxi to airport from there. gorgeous little place. would have liked to have been able to spend longer there. whatever you do, ull have a ball. enjoy...
