help! pisa,venice and??? dec 2009 good hostels? cheap trains pass's? help? |

| hey all
going for a bit of a italy tour just for a week or 2 anyone know of any good hostels in pisa and venice and anywhere else you recomend we visit? we are starting off flying out to pisa on dec 6th 09 then after couple of days was thinking of getting a train to venice and poss some other places (not sure yet) anyone got any good ideas we could steal :P, good cheap hostels would be great as well as train pass's you have used and thought were pretty good thanks people  Ryan |

| In Pisa i stayed in a hostel which was like a camp site but with little houses, Village Torre Pendente, it was nice actually and walking distance to everything including a supermarket. Rooms are tiny but you also have a little living room inbetween the rooms, each house sleeps 4 people, 2 bedrooms with living room in the middle. It was about 14quid per person.
I don't recommend more than 1 night in Pisa if all you want to do is see the tower and walk around the city, it is pretty small. In venice i stayed at a proper hotel, Hotel Atlantide, it was about £30 per person for a big room for 2, there i recommend taking a day trip to Lido, really nice beaches and a pretty island with the best gelatti i've ever eaten. 15 mins on the waterbus. |

| thanks that sound wicked think we are just doing the 2 nights in pisa hopfully head venice as i really want to go |
