hey hey,
my mum really wants to go to see the pyramids etc, so i was thinking i would try and organise for three of us to go out to cairo for a week. I have been looking at packages etc but htink she would prefer it if we did it independently? was just kind of wondering if anyone had been out there and had any tips/advice/recommendations etc!

thank you!

Just got back from Egypt. Went to the pyramids/cario. I booked a two week all inclusive holiday in Sharm. I did cairo via an excursion. It cost me an extra 180 to visit cairo for the day ( so worth it!!). We saw the pyramids, sphinx, museum, muhammed ali's mosque and had dinner on the river nile. It was a great excursion. I would totaly recommend egypt. I really liked sharm. You can get some really cheap alinclusive deals in sharm at some lovely hotels. I would not recommend spending a week in cairo itself as its very over crowded and run down. 75 million people living in it!! Also i couldnt see a great deal to do. Were as if you use sharm, luxor or hugagga as a base these are a lot nicer places to stay.
