Hi Scarlett,

For most Nationalities you can get a Tanzania tourist visa when you arrive which is often easier and cheaper than getting it before you leave. However if you want piece of mind get it before you travel. From the London embassy it is £38. Remember if you apply via post add £10 in postage costs, as you will have to send it recorded delivery. Alternatively you can get it on the border, take US$50 in cash with you.

Kenya - also requires a visa, US$25 on arrival or GBP20.

Malawi - free 30 day tourist visa, if you stay longer it will cost Kwacha5000 to extend (about £25; US$35)

Zambia - US$50 on entry, unless you're Irish then its free!

Zimbabwe - US$55

Botswana - free tourist visa

Namibia - free tourist visa

South Africa - free tourist visa

If your visa's are not included in your tour then take US$ with you as these are accepted throughout Africa. Make sure the heads on them are large as they no longer except old notes in Africa.

Have a great time!
