SYDNEY HOSTELS AT CHRISTMAS...panic times :( |

| Hey! Just wanting any info anyone might have on any hostels that are available, not too shabby & not charging a hundred quid a night over christmas?!? As usual...slightly unprepared so any help is very appreciated!!

I've booked a trip to see my folks in Oz rather spontaneously, and I sent my mum off to call hostels for a couple of nights over NY, they appear to be all booked up, or wanting 7 day bookings @ $40-70 a night... Not good. |

| Hey!
If your going to be in Sydney for a few weeks at xmas/ new year your probably better trying to get a backpacker house as it is a total nightmare getting hostels at that time. |

| a woman who owned a hostel told me that some hostels dont actually book out the rooms....they keep them free until like november and then they just up the prices so that desperate people pay to stay in them.
go on sydney gumtree and see if you can get a room in a house for a month |
