CAMPER-VAN RENT in NZ, ANY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE? WHICH COMPANY? |

| Hi guys,
we'll be traveling around NZ for 1.5 months in Nov/Dec. Does anyone know a good company to rent a cheap camper-van from? Pick up in Auckland, drop off in Christchurch. Thanks a lot fo your help! Dx |

| We used United Campervans which were great. Not the cheapest available, but really good value. We landed in Auckland and had a night in the city before travelling back out to the airport to collect the camper. If you use the taxi company United Campervans recommend to get from the city to them at the airport, and get a receipt, they give you the money back straight away in cash so you are not out of pocket at all.
It is worth taking out the top level of insurance as then you are not eligible to pay for any damages - this is particularly useful with stone chips in the windscreen in south island. When returning it back in Christchurch they gave us a free shuttle to the airport to get our plane. http://www.campervan.co.nz/ is their website. |
