Heya, just wondering if anyone has managed 6 weeks in South Africa on £1500, this would include flights and hostel accomodation and random trips etc!
Let me know if I'm being too optomistic!!
Cheers Ellie

Yeah that's very doable. Accommodation, food and alcohol are really cheap, it's just some of the activities that are a bit pricey, like the cage diving, bungey jumping and safari trips, but it depends on what you want to do.
Most of the hostels run trips as well which are good value.

Do you have any ideas of which places you want to go to? How are you planning on getting around?

Cool, i'd probably bus it around mostly, I wouldn't move too much from Cape Town though as its the watersports that are drawing me there!!
Would think about moving about a bit on the Baz Bus if I could manage it without needing too much more money, could probably stretch to £2000 but am not too bothered if thats not possible.
Are there any trips or thing that shouldn't be missed?

Definitely get a ticket for the Baz Bus - you can get a cheap one which will run to Port Elizabeth from Cape Town - don't go all that way and not see the Garden Route!!!!
