I am taking a flight to Auckland which stops over for 3 hours in Singapore. I'm not planning on staying in Singapore for any more than those 3 hours while I switch flights - Do I need a visa??

Thanks

Hey there,
You wont need a visa for singapore as you are unable to leave the airport. Have fun in Auckland!

I will be spending a week in Singapore - and plan to go out of the city to an island. Do I need a visa?

Brits dont need a visa to visit Singapore for less than 30 days.

Malaysia also provides a free entry stamp on arrival, so you can come and go between Singapore and Malaysia without any issues.

Leave and re-enter Singapore or Malaysia as many times as you want, and you'll get a free visa exemption stamp every time. 90 days for Malaysia each time, 15 or 30 days or Singapore (it varies, inexplicably).

If you come and go from Singapore a lot over a short period, they can get twitchy and give you a bit of a grilling. Malaysia don't seem to give a fuck how many times you come and go. I love Malaysia for that. Very hassle free in that respect.
