Main Island V Island hopping - a dilemma!!! |

| Hey,
I was wondering if anybody could help me? I'm going to Fiji for 10 days in September and can't decide whether to stay on the mainland at the Beachouse hostel (which comes highly recommended and it very reasonably priced) for the whole time and do day trips or to book a island hopping pass which is what most people seem to do but which would be a lot more expensive? Of course staying on the main island would be a lot cheaper but would I be missing out? Or would I be able to book day trips to go and see some of the islands?? Any advice would be fantastic, Thanks  |

| Hiya, Im going to fiji in july for 16days and Im doing the island hopping for 14days... It looks amazing! I havent heard anything about beach house adn i havent been to fiji yet but ive done a hell of alot of research. id say if ur going to fiji then go all out and do the island hopping, for 10days maybe £400 or less would cover food accomodation & ur travel pass. And theres loads of activities, para sailing, jet skiing, cave diving, village trips, mountain hiking, cocunut husking, basket weaving and many more! | |

| Yeah all the advice I had is to stay on main land as little as possible
I am only there for 7 days but am still going to do island hopping (arrive early morning so going to get on the first 8am boat out to the islands)... It doesnt seem like you need that much money, especially if you pre pay for boat and accomodation pass (which includes most food) so just money for drrinks and activites and I doubt the price varies much from the mainland to islands... Anyone done the Bula Combo Pass? Now I am struggling to decide what islands I should stay at/what resorts in my limited time. Any reccomendations?? |

| Can anyone tell me where I would get an island hopping pass? I've never heard of it and am off to Oz for a year in September but have decided to go over to fiji for a couple of weeks while I'm there. Any advice on budget and itinery for 2 weeks would be great, thanks!! | |
