 where to go in china?

i have a month to get from hong kong to beijing. can anyone recommend places i should try and visit on the way? i def want to check out guilin area and tianmen shan. i was thinking of going in a sort of curve via xi'an and pingyao also. any help is much appreciated, thanks

My favourite part of the country was Yunan Province in the South west (Dali, Lijiang, tiger Leaping gorge, kuming) it is amazing but not 100 % on your route

Yangshuo is amazing, Guilin was good as well but really only use as a sto over point for Yangshuo

Changdu if you want to see Panda's

Xian and Pingyao were excellent

il definitely second Yangshou as one of the best place ive ever been. Also Pingyao is awesome. Chengdu for the Pandas obviously!

i did that exact trip and went.

HK
Macau
Yangshou
Chengdu
Xian
Pingyao
Beijing

although i stayed in Beijing for 10 days there is more than enough to do!
