 Is this way too expensive?!

I'm hoping to go to East Africa in Aug/Sep this year before starting a new job but I'm a bit concerned about how much it's costing! Looks like it will be £2.5-3k all in which is what I'm usually used to spending travelling round the world! I'm travelling on my own and have never been to Africa before so have opted for tours rather than doing the completely independent thing. Here's what I have planned - let me know what you think!

3 weeks Uganda (Entebbe) - Kenya (Nairobi) with Absolute Africa £900 incl. everything (w/gorilla permits!)
- visiting lake victoria, masai mara for migration, lake nakuru, hells gate...

2 weeks Mombasa to Dar Es Salaam with Gap Adventures £800 incl. everything
- visting Diani beach, Maizwe reserve among other places down the beautiful coast

1 week in Zanzibar if money allows!
- possibly diving

Flights £700!
+ all the rest - visas, insurance, extra money

Is this the normal price for this kind of trip or am I looking in all the wrong places?

Thanks!

This might be a bit late to be any help, but what the heck.
I think for what you're trying to do the prices are probably pretty typical. Sounds like you will be visiting quite a few national parks which are expensive. Even if you organise in the country you'd probably still be looking at least £50 a day budget on days when you visit parks.
