 Mexico to USA by train??

Have i dremt that you can do this?? If i havn't how safe/easy is it from a lone female traveller?

I gather the alternative is a Greyhound bus but i have been warned about the safty of these?

Any comments much appreciated!

Hi Ethel,

There is a small train going from the U.S. to Mexico that I was on. It ran from a little town east of San Diego California and ran to the Town or Tecate in Mexico. We toured the brewery there, got a room and then headed further south into Baja California Mexico. I think it started from a town called Campo. It was a pretty nice ride. It was way better than any Greyhound. Those are to be avoided like the plague. Cramped seats, lost luggage, and rude workers. I could go on but you get the idea
