| You can get good deals with flights but they really vary (I looked for one of our students the other day and it was about £400). A cheaper (but still comfortable) way to do it is to get comfy local coaches to the border, then cross the border each time, probably about US$200 in total. So:
Santiago to Arica (Chile) cross to Tacna (Peru) Tacna to Lima, then Lima to Tumbes (Peru), cross to Huaquillas (Ecuador) Huaquillas to Quito You could try and combine buses with timings Chile - www.turbus.cl Peru - www.cruzdelsur.com.pe Ecuador - www.transportespanamericana.com Try not to be around the borders after dark though, it can be a bit dodgy. If you want to avoid so many changes, you can use www.grupo-ormeno.com.pe they have Santiago-Lima buses, then Lima-Quito, not as comfy as the other ones though. The whole route by bus takes about 72 hours, not including stopovers. I've done it all the way through without stopping once, enjoy... http://www.questoverseas.com |
