 quito and voluteering in santa martha

I am sooo confused am very intrested in volunteering in santa martha rescue centre i have been offered a place there from the 5th to the 31st of january

now i am trying to work out how to get cheap flights as all i can find is ones for cheapest 750 and thats still alot any one no where i can get cheaper flights

has any one voluteered in santa martha ? did they enjoy it how did they find it ?

what jabs doo i need what tablets doo i need and doo i get them from going to my gp ? how much do they cost

and will 1000 for a month be enough to support me out there ?

Hello.

Right. Firstly, pay whatever it costs in flights to get there, because Santa Martha was probably the best thing I did on my trip. Even better than that Catholic girl.

Flights to South America aren't cheap, unfortunately, but you can make up for it by the fact that the cost of living is very, very cheap.
£1000 should really last you for two months.

As far as jabs go, I THINK you'll need typhoid, hep a, an up to date tetanus, and yellow fever IF you're going to the Amazon part of Santa Martha.
I'm not a doctor though, so check with your GP.

You should also consider malaria tablets if you're going to the Amazon centre, but personally I wouldn't bother if you're just staying around the Tambillo centre.
Again, that's just my opinion.
