Gap Year??

Hey all I'm new to this whole Gap Year thing. I'm not sure how this works but I would like to take a gap year to Japan hopefully when I finish college just before University which will be in around 2 years from now. How do I go around organising this? Are there forms and things I would need to get filled out? I'm at College at the moment should I speak with my tutor there? I would like to go there and learn Japanese and work how will I be able to sort this out? I have so many questions...lol I will be going with a friend of mine, we really want to go so would appreciate the help, thanks! [EDIT] just wanted to add that I've looked around some other posts and found out that I would need a qualification? and Working Visa thing? I've also taken a look at the JET scheme thing which says i MUST have a BACHELORS DEGREE? [EDIT] okay edit again LOL...erm i been to : http://www.lattitude.org.uk/ which seemed really helpful for me since I'm 17-19 Also they seem to help out with bursaries which i would really need. Only problem is it will be for only 6 months and we had been hoping to go for a full 12 months?...so erm like yeah there's that. well apart from that it seems okay? but like i said at the beginning I'm new with all this gap year stuffs and apart from all the looking around i've done on other posts and sites we don't want to miss calculate something or make a mistake..lol..^_^
